Kraft + February challenge

The challenge for February at Kraft + is this:
The sketch is awesome, but how gorgeous are the colours? I didn't have anything other than beach photos to use for this challenge, but I really like how this worked for the beach photos, lol. My photos are from Mallacoota - in Victoria, from one of our holidays. The postcode is 3892, and as a quirky title, this is what I did.
I hit the background with texture paste, misting and stamping, and then added all of the fun elements. I recently purchased a cool die from Kaisercraft, which I have been using a bit, so I layed this under my patterned papers. I used some really cool kraft style flowers and  leaves from Little Birdie, and a banner from Heidi Swapp. To finish, I added a Charms Creations hessian heavenly heart.
I really love how this layout turned out, I love the sketch too.
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.

D-lish Scraps May share - By the Sea

Hi everyone, it is my turn to share at D-lish Scraps, and I am starting with my layout interpretation of the May inspiration board:
I just love the colours in this, so fresh, and so much to be inspired by.
I chose a photo taken on our holiday to Mallacoota last year. We were out walking one day, and came across these ladies painting the ocean - quite an unexpected thing to see.
I decided to use the sketch, a great sketch, and a sketch usually gets my mojo going. On my layout, I used a coloured paper doily, behind my paper layers. On top of the doily, my cluster includes wax blossomleaves, enamel dots, and forget me nots

In the second cluster, I repeated the wax blossoms, leaves, enamel dots, and added hydrangea petals, and pastel petals
For my title, I have used Dusty Attic chipboard alphas, and added another forget me not and retired button
I hope you have a go at this challenge, it is so pretty.

Kraft + September challenge

This month at Kraft+  the challenge is a sketch challenge, designed by Nifty Pixel. Here is the challenge:
Awesome challenge, with a great sketch.
I don't do digital scrapping, so it's the paper and glue for me, lol.
I chose to use the 3 photos in the sketch, and have pretty much kept to the sketch design, except to move my journaling over to the other side. My photos are of the full mine rising over the estuary at a gorgeous town called Mallacoota, where my husband and I holidayed earlier this year. The full moon was spectacular this particular night, and we had a great view of it from our accomodation. I decided to be very patient (with a glass of wine in hand) and took a timeline of photos of the moon rising. It was sensational watching it over the glassy water, with barely a cloud to obscure it. The reflection on the water was beautiful.
I have kept the layout fairly monotone, trying to keep with the silver theme. I tucked my alphas just a little under the Sirrah Sarrah handmade paper, to replicate the moon coming from behind clouds. I stamped using a clock stamp to replicate the time theme. I also stamped on the DIY arrow from Charms Creations. I had some gorgeous Prima crystals in the silver colour as well, and found some buttons that fitted too. I am quite pleased with the overall effect.
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.
