Jam & Cram - D-lish Scraps DT share number 3 August

Hi everyone, I am back with my last share for July. This layout is inspired by one of the current cybercrop challenges in the Scrap Suite, by Amy Churchward. I love Amy's work, so she is so clever with mixed media. So Amy's challenge is to be inspired by food. Amy's original inspiration was scones, and I had this photo in my stash waiting to be scrapped, yes scones. It was a no brainer, lol.
Jam & Cream
I had a lot of fun with this one. The cafe we were at when I took this photo, is a vintage inspired little cafe, with lots of vintage items around it, and they do the best scones, it is what they are known for, the name of the cafe is Jam & Cream.
Anyway, I decided to try to keep a vintage theme to the layout. I found in my vintage stash this page from an old magazine, with the words "made from wheat", and it was a perfect fit for the layout, along with the vintage lace and crochet doily.
I was then able to embellish it perfectly with my D-lish Scraps products.
With this first cluster, I have used a paper doily, cut in half and tucked behind the photo. I have added flowers and leaves from the Love like this just add paper kit. To finish, I used Creative Cuts leavesflair button and ombre wordfetti strip of words.
I love the overall effect of this layout.

Merry Christmas
So my challenge is the theme Christmas in July, but also add an item that is not Christmas related.
In the second cluster, I have featured a paper doily, and stars from Kinder Kreations word title set.
I hope you can join us for the cybercrop challenges.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

D-lish Scraps July DT share 1 - You and Me

Hi everyone, I am back with my first July share, and this one I have based on this months inspiration board. Here is a reminder of the inspiration board:
I loved the monochromatic touch to this moodboard, and also the touches of luxury with the silver glitter colour and the crystal earrings.
I was inspired to create this layout, using a photo from a nieces wedding, you can't get much more luxurious than with a wedding.
You and Me
I started by using some transparent texture paste, to which I sprinkled some glitter over whilst it was wet.
I embellished the layout by adding a 6 inch white paper doilyrose creative cuts which I coloured silver, carnations and sequins.

I have also included a sequin bow
I think this layout really does have a touch of luxury about it, glitter and sequins certainly assist that.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

Scrap the Boys July DT share

Well  it's July, and the weather is terrible here, so might as well be scrapping. The new challenge at Scrap the Boys, is sure to please, and you will be seeing stars:
So let your mind go wild. I decided to scrap about a music star - Keith Urban, he is a fabulous musician, who I saw in concert back in 2016. He is a very generous man, but he is also a super star guitarist and singer. It was a great concert.
I started with a star stencil, texture paste and colour bursts. I had some great star themed chipboard in my stash, so that and other little star themed items worked. I also added the Charms Creations super star, which was a perfect match.

Made to Scrap - the Aussie Way - new challenge group - DT share

Hi everyone, well we have a new challenge group starting today, called Made to Scrap - the Aussie Way. This is a facebook group, so follow the link to find the group.
The group is an amalgation of Show Us Your Stuff and Australian Top 50.
Our new group showcases Australian made scrapping products, and many small home businesses. So lets get behind this and support our Australian scrapbooking industry. All you have to do, is to us something that is an Australian product on your design.
So our first challenge is this:
This one is a nice simple challenge, just use sequins and stars.
Here is my layout:
Beautiful You
I have used a lot of wonderful products from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, an Australian business owned by Zoe Pearn. She has some beautiful designs, that are very fresh and funky.
I have also used a Charms Creations heavenly heart, made by the ever talented Charmane Koch
I hope you join us in the challenge, but also join us in supporting our Australian businesses.

Kraft plus July challenge - DT share

Yes, it's my DT share, I finally made it onto the design team at Kraft plus. After being a regular contributor to the challenges, doing all but one, Sandra finally took the step to inviting me along for the ride. I am thrilled. I love this challenge site, and now it is also a community on facebook.
So anyway, the new challenge for July is set to challenge you in many ways:
So let's think about it, weaving, well it can be done many ways, and there is weaving in many things.
I had a go at trying to weave something, but each attempt was pretty bad. So to incorporate weaving, I wove some ribbon through eyelet lace, and added hessian, which has a very dense weave on it. I also took strands from the hessian and some ribbon, and placed it horizontally across the page, to try to depict a woven design. The stencil I used also could be looked at in a woven design. The little butterfly is also a hessian with a dense weave. The Charms Creations heavenly heart also has some woven lace on it. So I think I covered the brief.
A moment in time

Scrap the Girls July DT share

July, cold weather, nothing to do outside, so may as well be scrapping. So let's take a look at the July challenge at Scrap the Girls.
When I first looked at this one, I was stumped, I had no idea how to approach it. Taking another look at it, I was able to draw inspiration from the pleating in the images and also the tutu on the ballerina.
I decided this photo from my daughters 21st birthday, a Burlesque theme would suit this layout.
I used a stencil and a spray to create the background. I added lots of feathers and bling to the layout, which suited the theme of the party.
I featured a Charms Creations DIY heart on the layout, which I stamped in and then splattered with ink.
In the end I was happy with the result, but it did have me thinking for some time.
