D-lish Scraps December share 3 - 80 years young

Hi everyone, I hope you have all had an enjoyable Christmas.
I have had my parents visiting from Queensland, so that has been nice.
My share today, actually features my father, from his 80th birthday this year.
80 years young
I created this layout, using one of the current cybercrop challenges, set by Amanda Lawrence, owner of D-lish Scraps. She has created a birthday bingo challenge, here are the clues:
From the clues, I used stencilling, a splash of yellow, and a flair.
I started off my creating my background, using a number 5 x 5 stencil, it is pretty cool. I used texture paste and some Ken Oliver colour bursts for the colour.
In this second cluster, I have also added a Magnolia flower and sequin bow.
My Dad loves his layout, so this was a fun challenge to use for it. I hope you join in for the challenges, if you have some spare time over this holiday period.

D-lish Scraps DT December share 2 - Aperol Spritz

Hi everyone, I am back with my second share for December.
This layout is one I have created using one of the cybercrop challenges over at the Scrap Suite, that were posted last week. Take a look, there are some awesome challenges. My layout is inspired by the challenge set by Amanda Hartmann, a travel page.

Aperol Spritz
My layout is from my recent holiday to Italy, where I had many experiences, one of which was discovering the Aperol Spritz, oh my, so refreshing on a hot day.
Anyway, on my layout, I used a stencil from the Love Like This JAP kit, in spots around the edge of the page, with some texture paste.
In my first cluster, I have used a bitty bag, colour me cuts wildflowerspastel petals and bow from a past kit bits.
I keep finding bits in my left over JAP kits that suit all sorts of pages, lol.

D-lish Scraps December DT share 1 - Cheers to Us

Hi everyone, can you believe it is December? I really can't, I really need another month up my sleeve.
My first share for December is one inspired by the December Inspiration Board, a nice summery board, sure to get you searching for those summer pictures from last year.

My photo is from last December, a rare moment to catch up with my sister, as we live in different states, and this was her birthday, and she was in my home city.
Cheers to Us
I quite liked the vintage feel to the inspiration board, and was inspired by the flower image. So I chose a floral paper, and then went from there.
In my first cluster I have used a Green Tara AzaleaColour me cuts flowers, which I coloured using gelatos, flairLittle Birdie pearl petites marshmallow flowersforget me notsfaceted enamel dots

Kraft Plus December challenge DT share

Hi everyone, can you believe it is December? I truly can't. This year I was waiting all year to go to Italy, that came and went, and now it's nearly Christmas.
Anyway, time marches on and we bring you another challenge at Kraft Plus.
I don't often do stitching on my pages, it is a laziness thing, yet I love the effects, it adds such a great dimension to a layout. So I added stitching to my layout, and I loved it.
Frankie
Frankie is a little deaf French Bulldog pup, who currently lives with us. He has fit into the family well, and is best friends with my sons dog, Dusty. They have so much fun together.
Anyway, about my layout. I cut some squares of patterned papers, layed them out in a pattern, then stitched them on, creating a frame around the photo and page. I also stitched on the Charms Creations heart and XO, and the other little quote tag.
I love how this layout turned out.

I hope we get to see your layouts for this challenge.

Scrap the Boys December challenge DT share

Hi everyone it is December, it is nearly the end of the year, and Christmas. Wow, how did that happen.
So for December at Scrap the Boys  we are scrapping Christmas and our boys, how cute is that?
Here is the challenge:

So it really is open for interpretation, it is such a fun challenge. Here is my layout:
They are nice
I had a lot of fun with this layout, I cut some baubles from a page that was covered with baubles and these worked really well for my layout. I added a die cut tree and then a Charms Creations super star on top of the tree. Love it. A few splatters of paint around the page finished it off.

I hope we get to see your creations over on the blog.

Scrap the Girls December challenge DT share

Hi everyone, well that's it, it's December, not long till Christmas and the end of the year.
This month at Scrap the Girls we have a very cute challenge for you to play with:
Be inspired by one of the dresses, or maybe you could be inspired by more.
I chose the first black dress with the baubles to inspire me, and created this layout:
Merry Christmas
The colours in our dresses matched this pattern well, and I used a dark background to create on. I then made my own baubles to add to the layout and surrounded the page with them.
This month the sponsor is Cut to You by Gwen Wruck. She has supplied the DT with awesome products to work with, and I chose one of the Christmas trees and the Merry Christmas title. They worked a treat on my layout.
I also included a cute Christmas tree from Charms Creations.

I hope we see your pages for the December challenge.

D-lish Scraps DT share 3 November - Dream

Hi everyone, well it's almost December, how the year has flown.
So I share with you today my last November layout.
Dream
I started by stenciling with gelatos onto the background, I wanted to create something soft to match the photo and the embellishments.
For this layout, I used the Just Add Paper kits bundle deal - Spring fling, which was perfect for the photo.
In this first cluster, you can see from the Just Add Paper kit bundle deal, I have used a tag, and banner, with the title dream just poking into the photo. I also added Little Birdie pearl petites blush flower and lace butterfly, which I have cut in half.
This cluster photo gives a full view of the title, plus some birds, and a ring of flowers, plus flair from the Spring Fling bundle deal.
This last cluster photo, shows that I have also now added a white paper doily and cabachons from Flights of Fantasy Just Add Paper kit.
Such lovely embellishments that really enhance sweet baby photos.

D-lish Scraps DT share 2 - cybercrop challenge

Hi everyone, I am popping in with my layout for the November D-lish Scraps cybercrop
For this challenge, I focused on using metallics, not something I do much, but for this layout it worked really well, with a lot of different metallics.
Silver and Sparkle
I started by using some metallic texture paste through a stencil on the background. I then gathered as many metallic embellishments as I could, and used what worked best.
This first cluster features a white paper doily, sequin bow, coloured wireflower sequinspunchinellaflair buttonpastel petals, and a cornflower

Here is another view of the cluster, showing some of my title, which I found some glitter alpha stickers, to add to the sparkle and shine.
So go discover your stash, see what shiny metallics you have, and have some fun.

Adore - D-lish Scraps November DT share 1

Hi everyone, well it is November already, how the year has flown. I have also just returned from a holiday to Italy, which was a great experience. Back to reality for me now though, and no more holidays for quite some time.
Anyway, my first share for this month, is based on this months inspiration board - Arabian Nights. I fell in love with this when I saw it, so had to have a go. I normally do not use any shade of purple in my creations, but this one was very appealing.
Adore
I loved the sketch in this inspiration board too, it worked well for the layout.
I love how bits and pieces from the JAP kits and bits are often able to be used on different layouts, co-coordinating so well, even if they are from different kits.

Scrap the Boys November

Wow, it's November already, so that means there is a new challenge up for Scrap the Boys, here is the challenge:
Guess what, you get to include yourself in this layout, or another person who loves a boy. How lovely a challenge is this?
I chose this photo of myself and my husband, I love the relaxed feel of it, in amongst the autumn leaves. So I tried to recreate the feel of the colours and leaves in my layout.
Love You
I had this gorgeous cut file from Cut to You by Gwen Wruck, a previous sponsore. I coloured this cut file with distress oxides. I added a whole load of autumn coloured flowers and a Charms Creations heavenly heart
I hope we get to see your creation for this challenge.

Kraft Plus November challenge

Hi, for November at Kraft plus, we have a great challenge for you, with mosaics:
Look around, and you will see mosaic designs in many places. Take it as you see it, many different options for this challenge.
I chose a simple mosaic design of diamond tiles. I used these photos from a chateau in France, as inspiration for my layout, the diamond tiles on the floor of this building. I could have even used the mosaic design of the gardens, at this place, so much of a mosaic design that they are.
I stencilled a design with a diamond stencil, added some diamond shaped chipboard pieces and finished it with a diamond shape from Charms Creations
Opulence

I hope we get to see what you do with this challenge.

Scrap the Girls November

Hey friends, it is November, already! It is astonishing how time flies. Anyway, the new challenge at Scrap the Girls has this interesting moodboard to use:
I took inspiration from the blue in Cinderella's dress, the red roses and the cards in the hat. I had this lovely photo of my daughter to use.
I created a stamped and textured background for the layout, and then embellished it simply. I have a miniature pack of playing cards, not sure where they came from, but I tucked one in amongst the emellishments. I added some little red roses, added some stamped feathers and a little wood veneer frame.
A beautiful life

Kraft plus October challenge

This October at Kraft Plus, it's all about friends. How nice is that, and leaves you free range for your design:
I had this photo, taken of our group of friends, friends my husband has known since his childhood. We often take vacations with these people, and we celebrate all the big events in our lives together. You couldn't ask for a better group of people, who also know how to have a good time.
I have kept this layout reasonably simple, it didn't need to be too overdone. I added a Charms Creations super star to the layout, it seemed to work. The addition of the string is symbolic of tying us all together in our friendship.
My Tribe

Scrap the Boys October

We are well and truly on our way to the end of the year, how it has flown. For the October challenge at Scrap the Boys, we have this moodboard to play with:

I normally struggle with adding pink to a male themed layout, flowers as well, they are not regular items on my boy layouts. So this month probably was a struggle for me. I used the colours as closely as I could for this layout, and kept it simple.
Groom
Lol, wedding photos make it easy to add flowers, and as you can see I have both pink and flowers on this layout. Also featured is a Charms Creations heavenly heart, perfect for a wedding layout.
I hope we get to see how you are inspired by this moodboard.
