D-lish Scraps September cybercrop challenge 4 by Agnus

Challenge 4 at the D-lish Scraps September cybercrop was by Agnus Kasprzak. The challenge was to use tags. I love making my own tags, they can become small works of art in their own right, so for this challenge, yes I made my own tags.
The layout is of my daughter, who has just started studying nursing - yep she is in for the long haul, and it's taken a while for her to get to this step, but she is doing very well. This photo was taken on her 24th birthday.
For this layout, the D-lish Scraps products used are one of the new after 5's fabric flowers (gorgeous), flair button, sequin bow (gorgeous), sweet petites paper flowers. I love how this layout turned out, and I actually went back to the rub-ons stash and included them on the layout - funny how the old is new again - well that's how I'm going to look at it anyway, lol.

D-lish Scraps Septmeber Cybercrop challenge 3 by Leanne Nankervis

Challenge number 3 for the D-lish Scraps September cybercrop was set by Leanne Nankervis, and the challenge was a shapes challenge - to use at least 3 different shapes, and numbers. I reaaaaaally struggle with shapes challenges - I reaaaaaaally overthink them. Yes, again, I overthought this challenge, and it was the last one I tackled for that reason. However, after giving myself a good talking to, I sat down and tackled it, and created this layout with the very retro photo of myself and my siblings. Weren't we gorgeous looking kids, lol. All clothes made by our mother, and photo of us wearing our "Sunday Best" - times were tough for our family back in the 70's, but we never went without.
I was really happy how this layout finished up. The D-lish Scraps products used on this layout are journal its, flair button, resin button, paper bag, sweet petites and violas paper flowers.

D-lish Scraps September cybercrop challenge 2 by Wendy

Challenge number 2 at the D-lish Scraps September cybercrop was created by Wendy Smith, with the challenge being to use the colours orange, aqua and green. Such fun colours to work with, and because I have still got plenty of photos from my 50th birthday party to work on, I had no problem in finding one for this challenge. I had a lot of fun with this, and although it is a simple layout, I really don't believe it needed anything else on it.
The D-lish Scraps products used on the layout include crochet flowers, resin heart, camera paper clip, freckled fawn dew drops (supplied by D-lish Scraps), monochrome journal its, flair button, resin buttons, paper violas flowers.

D-lish Scraps September Cybercrop challenge 1 by Alz

Amanda at D-lish Scraps has run another successful cybercrop this month, with 5 challenges. The first of these challenges was set by my dear friend and very talented Alz Callcott, in which the challenge was to upcycle something, whether it be for a layout, card or OTP. I chose to do a layout.
Over the last few months, I have been successfully submitting layouts for publication to Scrapbooking Memories. Many of the talented scrapbookers who are sending in layouts are decorating their pizza boxes, and I received a decorated pizza box recently decorated by Fiona Paltridge, yet another very talented artist. This pizza box was so battered, it was beyond using again for sending any more layouts in, so I decided to upcycle the box lid for my layout. Most of the work was done for me by Fiona, and it was an amazing piece of art, far too good to throw away. I added a little to the intial artwork, by adding some stamping, and rubons. The D-lish Scraps products used on the layout are button flair, monochrome journal its, coloured paper doily and small paper roses.

These photos were taken in one of the Victorian goldmining towns called Castlemaine, a great place for some goldfields history, photos taken in the historical botanical gardens.

D-lish Scraps September Inspiration Board Challenge

This month at D-lish scraps, the challenge was to be inspired by the inspiration board titled Pink Lemonade, as below:

So for the D-lish Scraps September Inspiration Board Challenge, which I am sure you will agree, is absolutely gorgeous, I created the following layout. I had started the background for this layout a few weeks ago, and it was going to be entirely different, until I made a happy mistake with it. The mistake I made, allowed the colours of the background to meld, and form the lovely colours that then inspired me to keep creating the layout for this challenge. On my layout, I used one of the new After 5's flowers (the beautiful big pink one), along with the crochet flowers, some forget me nots paper flowers, a flair button, coloured paper doily and some of the monochrome journal its. I love how my happy mistake turned out. The photo is from my 50th birthday, depicting a gift I was given for a hot air balloon ride, something I am yet to do.

Scrap the Boys August challenge

I have only done a Scrap the Boys challenge once before, this one really appealed to me, so just had to give it a go. So for the Scrap the boys August challenge, I scrapped this layout.
I chose this photo of our friend Steve, who really is a born entertainer. He's a bit of a funny man, he loves to sing and entertain, but can also be very serious, and he is constantly performing and giving of his time to his favourite cause, The Starlight Foundation.
I loved how this challenge was to profile a male, which worked perfectly, in my opinion for this layout. The little D'lish Scraps journal it's almost look like dot points here.

Born Entertainer

White with 1 August Challenge

The White with 1 August challenge is to scrap with white and the colour liquorice.
For this challenge, I chose this photo of a tiny little baby sea turtle, that a group of us found stranded on a beach, when I was in Queensland for a holiday and retreat. One of the girls took this awesome photo, which I really just had to scrap. My heart breaks thinking about the survival of this little guy, as it is doubtful that he did.
I think the colours worked well for this photo. I created a background with texture paste, templates, glimmer mist, inks, glitter, tore the edges then stuck to another piece of white card stock. I was lucky enough to have the small shells and stones to use as well, that assist to create a beachy layout.
