I found some inspiration in the Stuck?! Sketches challenge for January, the first sketch they have on their blog, for this layout.
The photos are of my nephews playing with water balloons, on a hot summer day. Firstly they were bored, but also they were hot, so what better way to entertain them and cool them down at the same time. Sadly the water balloons didn't last for long, but they had fun.
So on my layout, I used a radiant rain dauber to make the "water splats" in the background.
I went through some of my older papers, as these ones worked really well for the colours that I wanted to use. I cut the word "today" from a Project Life journaling card.
I added a Charms Creations super star and terrific tab to the layout to top it all off.
I'm quite pleased with this layout, even though I'm still missing my mojo, sure hope it returns.
Thanks for any comments you may leave.
Water bomb fight
I think you are on the right track to get over your scrappers block. Love this page. Those splats are awesome. I have some photos just like these that I didn't know what to do with. I love that your page is so simple and let's the photos tell the story.
ReplyDeleteP.S. It may help: When I'm struggling with Scrappers block I stop creating for challenges etc and just create for me, it normally produces some of my best work!
