D-lish Scraps August-September cybercrop - challenge 3 by Katie

This is another one of the challenges that I have managed to get done for the August-September cybercrop at D-lish Scraps. It is a challenge set by the talented Katie Howard. The challenge is to be inspired by another layout, in the scrap suite. I chose to be inspired by this one by another talented scrapper Emma Zappone - here is Emma's layout. I love how she scrapped about the jetty.
I chose a photo that I had taken whilst on the E2C retreat at North Shields (Port Lincoln) on the Eyre Peninsula in SA, back in March (it was also my birthday weekend).
A couple of my new friends and I went for a walk this particular morning, as the sun was rising over the water in the bay - it was a stunning sunrise, and a beautiful walk along the water. I snapped this photo of some locals fishing on the jetty. Ahh, just looking at the photo, brings back some lovely memories of the most fabulous weekend.
For my layout, I stamped using a Prima and Kaisercraft stamp. Splattered some ink on the background as well. I wanted to keep in line with the colours in the photo, hence the orange cardstock as my background. I then layered Kaisercraft collectibles and journaling cards under my photo. The products I have used from D-lish Scraps are the wood veneers, the bakers twine, the wood veneer alphas and the flair button.
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.
Thanks Katie for the challenge.
