CSI colour challenge Charms Creations guest DT share

This month, Charms Creations is sponsoring challenges at CSI colour challenges. I love these challenges and how you are given so many options to use on your layouts. The challenge I have a guest DT share for is case file 226:

So for this challenge, I went a bit girly, scrapping a photo of one of my oldest friends and myself. I used the Teresa Collins Wonderful collection in this layout, it's a great range. So from the evidence, I used polka dots, banner, heart, enamel dots, leaves (plants). The testimony is about when we get together and the happy times they are - we don't get to see each other often, living in different states. I loved the colours in this scheme - very soft.
I added a Charms Creations Heavenly heart and terrific tab.

Stuck?!Sketches! March 15 challenge

The mid month sketch is up and ready for playing with at Stuck?!Sketches! Here is the sketch:
This one had me stumped for a bit, as I wasn't sure what photos I had a series of to use for this one. My daughter took some photos of my son and his puppy, and these were what I used. Once I cut them down a bit, they were perfect.
I had perfect embellishments from Charms Creations to use on this layout, and they are one of the sponsors of the challenge this month. I used a heavenly heart and an o from the xo shapes - this one includes a doggy button.
Lol, this layout used up some really old Kaisercraft papers, but they were perfect for it.

Kraft Plus March challenge

Slow down 2017, how can it already be approaching mid March?
With each new month, there are new challenges, and the challenge at Kraft plus is a beauty for March:
I really loved this one. Normally I have so much difficulty in adding fabric to my layouts - I have a massive stash of fabrics, which I should start using. With the denim, I had no issues - I don't get it. Maybe with it being blue, and one colour, it is easier to use. Anyway, I die cut some denim from old clothing, saved for the very purpose of using denim on my layouts - must have known something, lol. I continued the theme by using gelatos on the background and smudged it onto my page. I stitched the die cut denim onto the layout. I used Cocoa Vanilla denim alphas for the title. The final addition of the Charms Creations denim tag and arrow completed my denim revolution layout.
Great challenge once again.
Thanks for looking at my layout, and for any comments you may leave.

CSI challenge case file 225 guest DT layout

Popping in to share my layout that I have created for case file 225 at CSI challengesCharms Creations is sponsoring for some of the challenges this month.
Here is the challenge:
On my layout, the evidence used was stripes, washi tape, triangles. wood veneer. I journalled about an adventure - a helicopter flight in an open door helicopter over a volcano and waterfalls in Hawaii - very much an adventure. The colours were fun to work with too.
On my layout, I added Charms Creations DIY flag banner and map marker, they were pretty much perfect for the layout, but I did leave them plain, for the white component on the layout.
Hoping you have a go at this challenge.

Stuck?! Sketches! March 1 challenge

Oh my gosh, it is March already, and the time is passing by so fast.
So with the start of a new month, comes the roll of new challenges. This one I am sharing is my DT layout for Stuck?!Sketches! March 1 challenge. Here is the sketch:
No automatic alt text available.
I really enjoyed doing this sketch, it was back to basic scrapping, but with enough interest in it to make it a challenge.
I have chosen photos of my great nephew, practicing his hip hip hooray, not long after he turned 1.
I have used a selection of bits and pieces that just went with the layout, and finished it off with a Charms Creations pale denim heavenly heart, which I love on this layout.
I hope we get to see your creations for this challenge.
Hip Hip Hooray

White with 1 March challenge

Oh, it's March already! This year has really now started to fly by.
I am here to share my creative team layout for White With 1. This month the colour is orange, with a moodboard to inspire:

So for my layout, I chose a black and white photo, of my daughter and myself, just prior to our hot air balloon ride, 2 years ago. We had feelings of excitement but also some fear of the unknown.
On my layout, I created a background using texture paste, misting and rub ons. It's amazing how elements like this boost a layout, when you are restricted to one colour.
I then added the patterned papers, and embellishments, finishing with a Charms Creations heavenly heart.
Orange is a great colour to use, it provides so much vibrancy. I hope you join in the challenge.
Adventure awaits

Scrap The Girls March challenge

March already, and time for another challenge at Scrap The Girls, and it is all about selfies:
How fun is this challenge? Everyone takes selfies don't they? I took this photo whilst on holiday in Hawaii last year.
I love a bit of mixed media, so did that to this background. A bit of texture paste, paint and stamping - my favourite mixed media combination. I raided my stash of flowers to find orange that would work, gee I dug out some old ones, lol. I combined that with some die cut leaves, and some Kaisercraft collectibles.
I hope you take on the selfie challenge - don't be afraid to snap that pic and scrap yourself.

Funky Flairs Studio creative team share #1 March

Today I am sharing the first of my layouts for Funky Flairs Studio.
This layout is using a photo from my daughters 21st birthday, which was a Burlesque theme.
Party Girls
The flairs I used on this layout are from the Bohemian Feathers collection, and they were absolutely perfect for this layout, given there were lots of feathers to be seen at the party, lol. Team that with some real feathers that I sprayed and die cut feather, to tie them all in together. Show Us Your Stuff March challenge

I really can't believe it is March already, wow how time flies. So with that comes a new challenge at Show Us Your Stuff:
Image may contain: text
Now this is a fun challenge, and it does get you thinking, so I hope you are inspired to have a go.
I used hearts, buttons, ribbon and spots on my layout. I wanted a softer side to my layout, to go with the gorgeous photo. I have kept to a fairly traditional style layout.
My handmade item is a Charms Creations heavenly heart, which was perfect for this layout.
