I hope you join us in the blog hop, but also in the sketch.
It's been fun being part of the team and sharing my layouts with you, I hope I have been able to inspire somehow.
Take care, and continue to be happy in your scrapping. xxx

Stuck?! Sketches! September 1 challenge

The new sketch challenge for September is ready for Stuck?! Sketches!
No automatic alt text available.
How awesome is this sketch? I really enjoyed doing this one, and it all came together with scraps of paper - so good to use up some scraps. I really tossed up about using the patterned background, as it is so bold, but with the gesso toning it down a little it worked. The rest of the layout didn't look anything much just on a white background. Some simple embellishing brought the layout together, including a Charms Creations heavenly heart.
If you are wanting to put something together quickly then this challenge might be good for you.

Stuck?! Sketches! August 15 challenge DT share

Hi everyone, back with the sketch challenge for August 15 at Stuck?! Sketches!.

No automatic alt text available.
I had so much fun with this layout, it is an awesome sketch, can't wait to see the interpretations of it.
So I die cut some paw prints and teamed these with the puppy patterned paper and other doggy embellishments. They were all so perfect for this pet themed page with our boy Dusty. To finish the page, I used Charms Creations heavenly heart and terrific tab

Stuck?! Sketches August 1 challenge DT share

Time for a new challenge at Stuck?! Sketches! for August. I really like this sketch, hope you do too:
No automatic alt text available.
I already had a background ready to go that was perfect for this layout, don't you just love that. Working with black and white photos is good for easy matching of items. So it was then just a matter of finding elements that went with the background. The layout was completed using a Charms Creations heavenly heart and super starCharms Creations is a sponsor for this months challenge.

Stuck?! Sketches! July 15 sketch challenge DT share

It is time for another share at Stuck?! Sketches! for July.
I really like this sketch, and I really enjoyed using it to create a layout featuring my great nephew Rome and his mother. I kept the layout to the sketch and fairly simple, as I really just liked the way it all fell together. I love the photo and it makes me smile, hence the title Smile I added a Charms Creations Heavenly Heart to the layout to embellish.

Stuck?! Sketches! July 1 challenge

This month at Stuck?! Sketches! there is an awesome sketch to kick off the month:
No automatic alt text available.
So with this sketch, I changed it a little, although the bones of the sketch are very much there. I decided to use just one large photo in place of the 2, and I flipped the sketch.
Behind the photo, I painted a strip of coloured gesso, and then layered some patterned paper, which also was added to the side.
I had these very large alphas in my stash, just needing to be used for my title, and I love them, am going to have to try to use them again. I embellished with some enamel dots and a Charms Creations super star, plus a D-lish Scraps flair. A couple of stickers finished it off.
I really love how this layout turned out, I hope we see yours too.

Stuck?! Sketches! June 15 DT share

So how is winter going for you? I don't think much of it, but anyway it is a fact of life. So I hope the new challenge at Stuck?! Sketches! will warm you up:
No automatic alt text available.
In place of the heart in the background, I decided to cut a circle. I created a background using my gelli plate, and a stencil. I laid the circle over that background, and then embellished from there. I chose a variety of stars to keep with the stars in the sketch, and added a lovely denim star from Charms Creations, which worked so well for this layout.
I really enjoyed this challenge, it was fun and open for interpretation. I hope to see your creations.

Stuck?!Sketches! June 1 DT share

Even though it's winter, I am going to ignore that fact, and brighten the month with some beautiful flowers for this challenge for Stuck?! Sketches! June 1 sketch:

This was a nice sketch to play with, and these roses really do brighten an otherwise gloomy day. The photos were taken at the Victoria State Rose Garden at Werribee Mansion, here in Melbourne. A huge display of roses, many I have never seen before.
So I coloured the background with some gelato, and then kept pretty much to the sketch, embellishing with paper flowers, and die cuts.
I hope you join us for the challenge.

Stuck?! Sketches! May 15 challenge

So the mid month challenge is now available at Stuck?!Sketches!, and this sketch is awesome:
No automatic alt text available.
I have used a photo from a recent family wedding for this layout. I also created the background using my recently purchased gelli plate, which I am very much in love with.
With the flower clusters, I took inspiration from the brides headpiece, full of flowers, so I just went a little crazy clustering them. I also die cut some doilies to tuck in behind the clusters, and have die cut the title.
I do hope you join us for the challenge this mid month.

Stuck?! Sketches! May 1 challenge

I am not sure where this year is going, May already. Time for the new months challenge at Stuck?!Sketches! Here is the sketch:
Image may contain: text
I really found this one a challenge, sketches for me a usually a great starting point, but I sat over this one for a long time to get it to work for me. I used some photos of my nephew with a bunch of balloons. I wanted the layout to be fun, so I used the colourful background. I used a My favourite things die to cut the circles. and added some circle chipboard. I continued with the circle elements with a Charms Creations O embellishment, and some Funky Flairs Studio flairs.
Party
I hope you join us for the challenge.

Stuck?! Sketches! April 15 challenge

The mid month challenge has been revealed at Stuck?!Sketches!, and it's a really nice sketch:
So what do you think you could do with this sketch? The possibilities are endless. Why not scrap some photos from Easter?
I have used a photo of a great niece, I created the background using my new favourite toy, my gelli plate. I love the random, effects you get with them. The colours in the background then allowed me to quite open to my embellishing, and I love the colours that I was able to team up to the photo.
I added a Charms Creations DIY heavenly heart to my layout, I stamped in it with a couple of different stamps, in co-ordinating colours.
I hope you join us for the challenge.

Stuck Sketches April 1 challenge

It's April Fools day. no joke, it is already April!
So it is time for the new challenge at Stuck?!Sketches!
No automatic alt text available.
How lovely is this sketch?
I used a photo of my daughter from her recent nursing graduation.
I kept this simple, and used a lovely stencil with a ring, in place of the heart. I used a dauber and ink to achieve this.
I die cut some leaves, used other strips of paper, die cuts and flowers to achieve the embellishing. To finish the layout, I used a doily and a Charms Creations arrow.
I hope to see you join us for this challenge.
Congratulations

Stuck?!Sketches! March 15 challenge

The mid month sketch is up and ready for playing with at Stuck?!Sketches! Here is the sketch:
This one had me stumped for a bit, as I wasn't sure what photos I had a series of to use for this one. My daughter took some photos of my son and his puppy, and these were what I used. Once I cut them down a bit, they were perfect.
I had perfect embellishments from Charms Creations to use on this layout, and they are one of the sponsors of the challenge this month. I used a heavenly heart and an o from the xo shapes - this one includes a doggy button.
Lol, this layout used up some really old Kaisercraft papers, but they were perfect for it.

Stuck?! Sketches! March 1 challenge

Oh my gosh, it is March already, and the time is passing by so fast.
So with the start of a new month, comes the roll of new challenges. This one I am sharing is my DT layout for Stuck?!Sketches! March 1 challenge. Here is the sketch:
No automatic alt text available.
I really enjoyed doing this sketch, it was back to basic scrapping, but with enough interest in it to make it a challenge.
I have chosen photos of my great nephew, practicing his hip hip hooray, not long after he turned 1.
I have used a selection of bits and pieces that just went with the layout, and finished it off with a Charms Creations pale denim heavenly heart, which I love on this layout.
I hope we get to see your creations for this challenge.

Stuck?!Sketches! February 15 DT layout

Hi everyone, back with the second of my Stuck?!Sketches! February DT layouts. Here is the February 15 sketch:
I decided to keep this layout fairly traditional style scrapbooking, incorporating some memorabilia onto the layout. I have added the program from my daughters nursing graduation in place of the star on the sketch. I felt it important to add this to the layout, to tell some of the story.
I added a script stencil to the background, to represent the hours of writing she did during her studies.
For embellishment in place of the stars, I added some chipboard and the tassel.
This wasn't the easiest photo to scrap, but it is done, and will be added to her album.
