D-lish Scraps May share 2

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you the layout I have created for the May cybercrop. Go to the The Scrap Suite to see the challenges, and upload your entries.

So the challenge I set is to use the word together and tags.

This very recent family photo taken at my father's 80th birthday seemed perfect to use for this layout.
I started with 2 different papers, tearing one in half. I layered some co-ordinating tags behind the photo. A touch of texture paste added a bit more interest to the layout.

So to embellish, I added a lace doily behind the photo. In my cluster I have used a wild rosecarnationsrosebudscabbage rose, as well as some leaves.

There is plenty of time for you to have a go at the challenge, so I would love to see what you create.
Until then, happy scrapping.

D-lish Scraps May share 1.

Hi everyone, I am sharing today my first May layout.

I had this family photo to use, which I thought would be perfect to showcase some of the products in the D-lish Scraps shop.

I started with some co-ordinating papers, these picked up the orange top of the lady in the middle of the photo - not a deliberate move, but it worked. I used a bitty bag, as a focal point. To this cluster, I added a paper doily and lace butterfly. I then added a Corbett Creation wood veneer bow, and tea rose..

Underneath my photo, I added the pip berry stems, which I used as a feature on their own, I love how this worked.

My next cluster included a tea rose and flair button. I also added a cabbage rose to the top cluster.

Grey, blue, orange/apricot are some of my favourite colours together. There are many options for these colours in different embellishments in the shop. Why not take a look.

D-lish Scraps DT share - Just relaxing

Hi everyone, I am back with my last share for the month.
I quite like how this layout has got so much texture on it, and the products from
D-lish Scraps really helped to achieve that texture.

I used a 5 x 7 paper bag and mini packet to use as a mat behind my photo, they also added some colour to the layout. To embellish the layout, I added a flair buttonenamel dots, Corbett Creations wood veneer bow, and some rosebuds. Each embellishment adds a different textural element.

So why not have a go at adding different textural elements to your layouts. There is so much texture available to us, to use, and you probably have a lot in your stash.
Until next time, have a good day and happy scrapping. Sandra

Scrap the Girls April challenge DT layout

What? It's April? How did that happen already? So that means there is a new challenge at Scrap the Girls. Here is the challenge:
So this one is a bit different, but cool too. I don't have tatoos, and I don't smoke. So I decided to use the Domestic Goddess as inspiration for my layout, and used this photo of myself with new cookbooks. A statement posed though, in the title, stating "you want me to cook". I used to love cooking, now it is such a grind of a chore, on a daily basis. So this layout is a bit of tongue in cheek.
I had the perfect paper and embellishments to use, with the Kaisercraft papers and wood veneer, I must have known something when I bought these. I added some colour blast colour paste, chipboard, prima flowers and finished it off with a Charms Creations arrow.
You want me to cook

CSI Casefile #233 July

So the new challenge at CSI colour challenges is just really charming. I had so much fun with this:
So I decided to use something related to the weekend, and although not a ritual, I took the word relax as extra inspiration. So I scrapped about a very relaxing scrapping retreat that I went to in July last year. I had a fabulous time, and did very much relax and scrapped, and met a whole lot of friends. One of these friends was the Charmane Koch, the designer of Charms Creations, who I am on the design team for.
For the evidence I used stripes, text print, straw, flowers, string, decorative border, triangles and watercolour (coloured textured paste with gelato - for script stencil background).
I hope to see your creations for this challenge.
Time to Relax

White With 1 April challenge

So it's time for a new challenge already, time is flying by, and the challenge at White with 1 is just lovely - Helium Blue:
No automatic alt text available.
There is also an optional sketch:
I used the sketch as a guide to my layout, but also created the background to highlight the colour. I used this with the negative image of the stencil with Ken Oliver colour blasts, as I didn't really like the positive of the stencil in this case.
I added some punchinella, transparency, wood veneer, chipboard and stitching to my layout, lots of different textures. I also added a Charms Creations super star to my layout.
This colour is so beautiful and so versatile.
I hope you join us in this challenge.

CSI colour challenge Charms Creations guest DT share

This month, Charms Creations is sponsoring challenges at CSI colour challenges. I love these challenges and how you are given so many options to use on your layouts. The challenge I have a guest DT share for is case file 226:

So for this challenge, I went a bit girly, scrapping a photo of one of my oldest friends and myself. I used the Teresa Collins Wonderful collection in this layout, it's a great range. So from the evidence, I used polka dots, banner, heart, enamel dots, leaves (plants). The testimony is about when we get together and the happy times they are - we don't get to see each other often, living in different states. I loved the colours in this scheme - very soft.
I added a Charms Creations Heavenly heart and terrific tab.
Happy Times

Scrap The Girls March challenge

March already, and time for another challenge at Scrap The Girls, and it is all about selfies:
How fun is this challenge? Everyone takes selfies don't they? I took this photo whilst on holiday in Hawaii last year.
I love a bit of mixed media, so did that to this background. A bit of texture paste, paint and stamping - my favourite mixed media combination. I raided my stash of flowers to find orange that would work, gee I dug out some old ones, lol. I combined that with some die cut leaves, and some Kaisercraft collectibles.
I hope you take on the selfie challenge - don't be afraid to snap that pic and scrap yourself.

Stuck?! Sketches November 15 sketch challenge

The mid month sketch at Stuck?! Sketches is just fabulous:
I loved playing with this one. I used these photos of myself and my nephew and Godson, Lachlan, who I don't get to see much, as he lives in another state. I recently went to visit my family, so got these photos. We were on a picnic, and it was a nice sunny day, so I used some bright coloured papers and embellishments for my layout, to capture that.
D-lish Scraps is one of the sponsors for this challenge. I used to be on the design team, so I am lucky enough to have a stash of the fabulous products available.
I have also used Charms Creations arrow and star embellishments, which I have circled with the wire.
I hope you have fun with this sketch.

D-lish Scraps DT share - friends

Hi, I am back again with the second of my design team shares for D-lish Scraps for September. This layout is my version of the blind scrapping challenge, for August cybercrop challenge in the Scrap suite. A blind scrapping challenge, is where you scrap to a set of instructions, and the list of ingredients you need for the challenge, here is the list of what was needed:

The instructions are then fed online, so you have no idea on what you will be creating until the layout is completed. It's a fun way to scrap.
Here is my version of the challenge.
Friends

On my layout, I have used monochrome journal it'swood veneer heartpaper leavesresin flowers, and pastel petals.
In this cluster, I cut a wood veneer frame in half, and laid this over the paper doily. I then added  a flair buttontassel, and magnolia.
For my title cluster, I used Dusty Attic alphas, and sequin bow.
Happy Scrapping xxx

Kraft+ September challenge

This month the challenge at Kraft +, is to be inspired by this:
The colours are so pretty and spring like. I had this photo of my daughter and I taken at a French festival last year. The colours of the challenge were perfect for the photo.
I started with some coloured texture paste, and decorated the border of the cardstock, then added the patterned papers and embellishments. I added a gorgeous Charms Creations Heavenly heart with butterfly to finish off the layout.
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.

Kraft Plus August Challenge

How is it already near the end of August? I can't believe where this month has gone, let alone this year. I have hardly scrapped this month, life has just got in the way.
I did do the challenge at Kraft Plus though, and this is the challenge:
I went on a scrapping retreat in July, and met for the first time, Charmane Koch and Amanda Hartmann, creator and fellow creative team member from Charms Creations. It was so lovely to meet after so long working together on the team. So I thought it appropriate to create this layout, my tribute to meeting them.
Naturally, I have included a Charms Creations embellishment, a heavenly heart.
I have included 3 tassels on my layout, and I had a lot of creative mixed media fun with the background.
Thanks for looking at my layout, and for any comments you may leave.

D-lish Scraps DT August layout - Cray cray ... lol

I'm back with my last August share. This layout was inspired by a challenge in The Scrap Suite, a challenge set by Michelle Stokes. Here is the challenge:

I used a couple of photos that I took of myself on my recent holiday in Hawaii.
I actually enjoyed doing this layout, and not taking myself so seriously. I had the perfect patterned paper to add to my layout too.
So on this layout, I have used wax blossomshydrangea petalssequin bowenamel dots, and paper leaves. I also added a wood veneer frame over the photo.
The title cluster features a wild rose, and wordfetti
The last cluster features a flair button

D-lish Scraps DT layout August - Enjoy the Moment

This is the second of my August shares for you.
For this layout, I was inspired by a current challenge in the Scrap Suite on facebook, a challenge set by Sonia Cotugno. Here is the challenge:
I love adding texture to my layouts, so this challenge was a no brainer for me, lol. I started by tearing the edges of the patterned paper, and then stitching it to the white cardstock. I then added some gesso and texture paste.
I used a photo of Amanda (boss lady) and myself, taken on a recent retreat, it was the first time we had met.
I added more texutre to the layout with my embellishing, and used some florists wrap in pink, around the layout. I matted the photo on a 5 x 7 paper bag. I tucked another paper bag under the 5 x 7. I used a Journal its journaling tag, which is tucked inside the bitty bag. On top of this is a 3 inch paper doily,  ( so cute), star flowerminifetti, and a journaling tag from a kit bit. You can also see punchinella and a forget me not.
The major cluster has been created using a wood veneer frame, into which I clustered hydrangea petalswax blossoms, and a wild rose. Also added is a tasselDusty Attic page pebble and spiral stamens.
Enjoy the moment
