CSI colour challenge case file 227

As soon as I saw this challenge at CSI colour challenges, I knew I wanted to give it a go. The colours really appealed to me, although I don't use yellow a lot. Here is the challenge:
I think what appealed to me most about this challenge, was to journal about a pet. I could have chosen a number of photos of our new puppy Dusty, but decided to scrap about our old girl Bonnie, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge last year.
For the evidence I used floral pattern, stripes, something fuzzy (Charms Creations Heavenly Heart), wood, metal, frame and fabric (muslin). I used a layering technique I recently used in a class with Di Garling, which worked well for the layout.
I am so happy with the way this layout turned out, and is so fitting for our old girl.
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.

  1. Sandra, your layout brings tears to my eyes as our old fellow Félix is 14 1/2yrs old and we know his time is nearing. I can see from the look on Bonnie's face that she was well loved. I'm sad for you that you had to say goodbye.

Such a beautiful page you made of her. The layering of the papers is so pretty. I love the little doilies, the flowers, and the felt heart. Really nice use of the vintage looking ephemeras as well. I just love the whole thing. Thank you for sharing your sweet Bonnie with us. ♥

I hope you won't mind me commenting on the following grammar mistake. As French Canadian, I noticed right away the french title of your blog. The only thing is that "LA" monde is wrong. It should be "LE" monde. Again, I'm sorry if I'm overstepping my bounds.

    1. Thanks for your lovely comment Jacynthe. I hope you are able to hold onto Felix for a bit longer, they are such a big part of our lives.
Yes, I realised after my blog was created that my grammar was incorrect, but there is also another blog using the correct grammar, so I guess I need to keep going with LA, lol.
