Show Us Your Stuff July Challenge

The Show Us Your Stuff July Challenge was a colour challenge, to use the colours inspired in the photograph below:



The colours being charcoal, mid blue, cream, light grey, teal. Very wintery looking board for inspiration, but I chose to go away from winter, it's already been too cold here in Melbourne.
I chose some photos of my mother and my nephew Lachlan, taken quite a few years ago now. Lachlan being a little 2 year old, and still learning his words, but to say Grandma, he would say Gamma - this has stuck, and now we all call her Gamma (Sorry Mum).
I have met all the criteria including all the colours, and of course the handmade items, which I have a handmade felt bracket, and 2 handmade fimo buttons.

D-lish Scraps July inspiration board challenge

The challenge for D-lish Scraps July inspiration board is a beauty, with a really cute kit that was available for sale, but sold out really quickly because it was so cute. I was lucky enough that a friend of mine ordered one for me at the same time as getting one for herself, knowing that I would love it. Thank goodness for friends who know us well. lol. The inspiration board with sketch is as below:



I really loved the colours in this inspiration board, and the sketch was also fun to use, as well as the kit. I used this photo of my sister and her two adult children, taken on Mothers' Day this year. My sister doesn't normally celebrate Mothers' Day, but this year, I was able to travel interstate to be with my family for Mothers' Day, so she had to, lol. So glad I got this photo of the 3 of them, along with another couple of kooky photos that they did for me. Thanks D-lish Scraps for the inspiration. Thanks for looking at my layout.

White with 1 July challenge

The colour for the White with 1 July challenge is duck egg blue, such a pretty and soft colour to play with. For this challenge, I had chose a photo of my mother in law and sister in law, and I think this challenge worked well for the photo. I have also recently bought some Theresa Collins patterned paper which worked well for this challenge. Thanks White with 1 for the inspiration. Thanks for looking at my layout.

D-lish Scraps cybercrop challenge 8 by Karyn

The last of the 8 challenges, and I managed to get all of them done over the weekend - mega impressed with myself. This one was fun - such a free and easy way of scrapping, the technique challenge by Karyn. I loved this, and was so quick to do, am going to have to use this technique again.

So for this challenge, I chose a very old photo of my two kids, (back to 1997) but a photo that makes me smile so much - the cheeky looks on such young faces. I chose the colours to blend with the colours in the photo, and just threw it all on the page.

The D-lish scraps products I used for the layout are a handmade bottle cap, flair, journal it's and motex tape and Freckled Fawn wood veneers supplied by D-lish Scraps.

Thanks Karyn, I've learned a new technique this weekend, and it was fun!

D-lish Scraps cybercrop challenge 6 by Ros

Challenge number 6 for the D-lish Scraps cybercrop was a puzzle by Ros. This meant using inspiration for your layout from the bingo board as below:

I chose the bottom line to use wood veneer, banner, more than one photo, twine and polka dots. I initially did not want to give this challenge a go, I was struggling to choose a row that appealed to me, but I started thinking outside the square - often a much better way to think than thinking how difficult something is going to be.

So I put together this layout of our friends daughter Charlie, washing her little car, obviously she was having fun with lots of suds, so I tried to emulate this in my layout, and it kind of gives me my polka dots - lol. I have met all of the criteria for the line I chose, to create a bit of a fun layout.

The D-lish Scraps products I have used are bakers twine, and Freckled Fawn wood veneers supplied by D-lish Scraps.

D-lish Scraps Cybercrop Challenge 7 by Wendy

The colour challenge by Wendy, challenge number 7 for the D-lish Scraps Cybercrop, was a fun challenge to do late last night. The colours to use were inspired as below, such fun and bright colours:

I think my tiredness was kicking in though when I created this very whimsical layout of my nephew playing in the rain, not how I had thought this layout would turn out at all, but looking at it with fresh eyes this morning, I like it's touch of whimsy.
The D-lish Scraps products used in this layout are- umbrella wood veneer, bitty bags, flair and journaling card.

D-lish Scraps Cybercrop Challenge 5 by Leanne

Challenge 5 for the D-lish Scraps cybercrop was a recipe challenge by Leanne. Now ordinarily I don't like recipes to follow for layouts, I sometimes feel a bit restricted. However, this recipe was awesome to play with, and this is my favourite layout that I have done this weekend.
The recipe is as follows:

I used this photo of myself, my mother and my sister, from my mother's 70th birthday. We don't get together much as a family, as we live in different states, so it's really nice when I do get to see my family, this photo means a lot to me.
The D-lish Scraps products I have used are the 3 flowers - FWAB Elise,  resin and cosmos daisy. I have also used a D-lish Scraps flair and Freckled Fawn wood veneers supplied by D-lish Scraps.
Thankyou Leanne for giving me the inspiration to create this layout, and allow me to not feel too afraid of recipes.
