Scrap the Boys March challenge

This month, at Scrap the Boys, the challenge is to be inspired by this moodboard:
I really like the colours in this moodboard, so bright and fun.
I used this photo of my nephew, who was being a bit fun this day, grabbing some 3D glasses and went up to his parents and said "you wouldn't hit a guy with glasses would you?" So random, and he's only 6 - where do they pick this stuff up? He often comes out with random things that are very amusing.
Anyway, I thought the photo was perfect, especially with the quote, even though I haven't used it, I still felt it related to my photo, I think this kid is one day destined for big things. I was otherwise inspired by the colours, the cameras and the tag.
I created the background with texture paste and sprays. I layered patterned papers, and added Charms Creations arrow and terrific tab
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.

I Love YOu - DT share for D-lish Scraps

This layout is the second of this months shares.
This time I have a layout, based on a challenge from the February Scrap Suite cybercrop, a challenge set by current master Krisy Podolak.

This is such a pretty moodboard, how could I resist.
I have used a photo from my neices wedding from last year, and the moodboard worked so well for the photo.
On my layout, I used a Journal its tab, and Little Birdie flowers and butterflies.
I also used Dusty Attic word titlesequin bowflair buttonGreen Tara cherry blossomsrosebuds and other paper flowers, plus some wood veneer.
I love the subtlety that comes with this pretty mood board. It really suits wedding photos, but would also suit a baby photo or something similar.

Anzac Day - D-lish SCraps DT share

I am sharing the first of my D-lish Scraps shares for the month, which is a Project Life styled layout, using a challenge from last months Scrap Suite cybercrop designed by Sue Plumb.
I don't ordinarily do Project Life, but I have found for travel pages, it has been helpful to get in more photos than regular 12 x 12 layouts, featuring 1 photo.
I holidayed in France nearly 3 years ago, and still haven't finished my album. By doing the Project Life pages, I think I will be able to get it completed soon.
On my pocket page, I have used bakers twineKaisercraft alpha stickersDusty Attic mini upper case alphasWashi tape and resin bird.
I also used paper flowers, basic journal spots, which I have attached to a Project Life card. I included some wood veneer chevronsflair button and wordfetti

It's surprising how many different items can be used on a pocket page, to make it special.

Stuck Sketches March challenge

The first challenge for March at Stuck Sketches, is to use this sketch:
I really liked this sketch, although I did struggle a little with my placement of my elements, they just didn't want to sit right for me, so I spent a lot of time fiddling to get the right effect. Anyway, I am pleased with the end result.
Photos are of a great nephew, who has the sweetest little face, he is quite adorable.
I love how the Charms Creations embellishments worked for this layout. I used one of the DIY arrows, which I sprayed with dylusions ink, and sewed a button to.
Hey Max
Thanks for looking at my layout and for any comments you may leave.

Kraft + March challenge

The new challenge for March at Kraft +, is to use the supplied sketch and a hint of houndstooth:
Current Challenge
It's a cool sketch, and well yes houndstooth, it's not a pattern we tend to use often is it? So I went on the hunt for it in  my stash, and to my surprise, I had a fair amount of it. So I have used just a tad more than a "hint of houndstooth", lol. I've got the package - washi tape, stencil and 2 different types of patterned paper.
I chose this photo of my sister and her fiance, I thought it went well with the houndstooth papers, as there weren't any other patterns to worry about.
The stencil is from The Crafters Workshop, and the papers are K and Co and Fancy Pants.
I have of course also included some Charms Creations embellishments, that work so well on most layouts.
Thanks for the challenge Kraft + team, I really enjoyed it.
This is love

Scrap The Girls March Challenge

This month at Scrap The Girls, there is this awesome sketch to inspire your girly layout:
I really liked this sketch, it is a lot of fun.
This month, Charms Creations is sponsoring the challenge. So being on the Charms Creative Team, we have each designed a layout using this sketch. Here is my version.
On my layout, I have used some of the Charms x's
and a terrific tab
This layout photo is of my friend Alz Callcott and I, having a relax at the airport before heading off to E2C retreat last year. We had an awesome time, this was just the beginning of it.

Thanks for looking at my layout, and for any comments you may leave.

Show Us Your Stuff March challenge

Can you believe it is March already? 2016 is already flying by.
For this month, the challenge at Show Us Your Stuff, is this awesome sketch designed by Chloe Neilson.
I had some fun with this sketch, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees, which worked better for me with my photos. I used some photos of my nephews having fun with Meccano.
For my hand made elements, I have used Charms Creations chevronsStudio fourteen40 flair and some die cut cogs from chipboard.
I really love how this layout turned out, as sometimes our boy pages can be quite tricky. I think that if we apply the same rules to our pages as we do for girly pages, just substitute the embellishments that show boys. This sketch made doing a boy page easy. Hope you give it a go.
