D-lish Scraps June share #3 - Pyrenees

Hi everyone, this is my last share for June, and isn't it scary that's half of the year gone.
I was quite excited to do this layout, another page for my album from my France trip 5 years ago.
We didn't get to visit the Pyrenees Alps, but looking from a distance, I so do want to go there.

So I created the background with stencil, texture paste and stamping, a spray of blue, my favourite way to create backgrounds.
Embellishing this layout was fun, using punchinellabitty blooms, and Kinder Kreations chipboard chevrons from the together pack. I also added Creative Cuts pie charts. The main feature is Pip berry stems which I have used to frame the photo.

The next cluster features carnations, and a wild rose

The last cluster has a flair button and kraft journal it's.

One day I will get my France album finished, lol.
Until then, happy scrapping.

Kraft plus challenge June

Well, the wonderful inspiration for a challenge at Kraft plus continues. This one is a childhood favourite for many of us:
Dr Suess has some amazing quotes, and some really great tips to live our lives.
When I read this list of quotes, I knew what I wanted to do. I chose the quote "A person's a person, no matter how small". We need to cherish and nurture our little ones, for they are our future. One of my favourite subjects to scrap is my great nephew Rome. His parents are doing a fabulous job of parenting, and Rome is proving to be a great little kid. I just love this photo of him, delighting in the fun of a skateboard, even though he was too small to ride it, lol.
I loved the green in his t-shirt and went with this for my feature colour. I added a cute stamped image of a "little person", designed by Fiona Paltridge for Aall and Create stamps, it's very cute. I used a number of other  Aall and Create stamps as added interest to my background. I also added a Charms Creations XO set
I had so much fun with this challenge, it is a beauty.

D-lish Scraps June share #2 - Little Helper

Hi everyone, I am back with my 2nd June share.
This layout I created, using a theme from the March cybercrop, monochrome layout.

Of course, I had to choose pink as my monochromed theme.
I started with the background that had been geli-plated then added texture paste through a  hexagonal stencil, and then a combination of sprays in different pink tones.

I also added a bow from the Love like this kit bits and some of the new flower sequins.

Finally, the last cluster, has a flair button hiding at the top.

Pink is a great colour to work with.
Until next time, happy scrapping.

CSI case file #256 June

Well this is the last DT share for me with CSI. I have really enjoyed being part of this team and creating using the wonderful case files each month. I doubt that I will stop using them for inspiration in the future.
This challenge is a great one to finish with:
It has a great summer vibe to it, I love the scene, it is so cute, but I had no camping photos that were suitable for it. So I chose these photos of my nephews playing with water and buckets. They put the buckets on their heads to balance, quite skilled they were at that.
Bucket heads
The colours were great to work with, so fun and summery. From the evidence I used a solid white background, wet medium, dots, washi tape, transparent elements, musical element, tags and twine.
I also included some of my favourite embellishments from Charms Creations -cute clouds, and arrow.
I hope I have been able to inspire as a design team member. Thanks for having me.

D-lish Scraps June share 1 - Tired Boy

Hi everyone, I am back with my first share for June, this one is inspired by the inspiration board.

Aren't the colours fabulous, infact the whole board is terrific.
So I was inspired by the solar system image, stripes and the arrow. Also by the phrase "lie in the grass", to create this layout.

So starting with some really old patterned papers, I found just the right ones to match the colours in the inspiration board. I then stamped onto the background, the circles are to replicate the solar system in the inspiration board. I also stamped the arrows, using a really old stamp set, but it worked.

The last little cluster also contains a resin polka dot button.

I often find that I can make the old stuff look like new again, when you add fun embellishments to them. So take a browse in the shop, and see just what you can find to dress up your old papers.
Till next time, happy scrapping.

Scrap the Boys June challenge - DT share

June, means winter, means cold, lets rug up and scrap.
So without further ado, here is the new challenge for June at Scrap the Boys.
Stitching on a layout looks fabulous I agree, but I don't do it often enough, probably because my machine is a high quality machine given to me by my beloved grandmother, and I don't feel I should use it for sewing through glue and paper. So I actually created this layout at a friends house, and her machine is for scrapping purposes.
The background was created with lots of stencils and texture paste, ink and then stamping over that again, add some spray ink and you have one grungy background. So the rest of the layout needed to be grungy. I did lots of layering behind the photo with paper, hessian and transparencies. I thought the stars were a cute addition, especially the Charms Creations super star
This little boy, a nephew was very sick as a newborn, I wanted to scrap this photo, to show how strong he is, to overcome everything and be developing well.

Show Us Your Stuff June challenge - DT share

I can't believe it is June already. It is also 5 years ago, that my husband and I went to France for our very first overseas trip. The challenge this month, is to scrap freely, so I decided to scrap a travel photo. Here is the challenge:
Whilst we were in Paris, we went to the Moulin Rouge. My husband was actually feeling unwell, and not really up for a night out, but we went and he enjoyed this fabulous and historic show. It was full of entertainment, and not just the can can dancers. There was magic, and comedy, dance and colour.
I thoroughly enjoyed it, and have ticked it off my bucket list.
To create this layout, I found a piece of patterned paper with a very subtle background, and then applied a crackle stencil over that. I sprayed with some gold ink and then added splashes of blue and red. I also added some stamping.
I tried to find as much vintage style stuff that would work, but had this chipboard pack that was designed as a French pack. I also added some gold paper from Ferrero Rocher chocolate wrapping. The sequins added a sparkly touch. My hand made item to top it off, are a Charms creations O and terrific tab. Also a flair, from Studio 1440.
I love that this is another layout for my France album done.

Scrap the Girls June challenge DT share

Well, it's winter, how does that feel? Brrr, it will be chilly here in southern Australia.
Anyway, time for a new challenge at Scrap the Girls. I hope you like this one:
I really like this moodboard, friendship is such an important thing. So I used this photo of my daughter and one of her best friends, friends since they were 10. They took this selfie at a party, so I thought the photo needed a bit of a look at me theme, hence the paper and the title. I was inspired by the images of the friends in the moodboard.
I created the background using a stencil and texture paste, then added paint over that. I also did some inking with a variety of stamps. I stamped the words friends and for the record,, and the frame, a very cute stamp pack. I embossed the wood veneer, and finally added the Charms Creations heavenly heart.
