Made to Scrap - the Aussie Way - new challenge group - DT share

Hi everyone, well we have a new challenge group starting today, called Made to Scrap - the Aussie Way. This is a facebook group, so follow the link to find the group.
The group is an amalgation of Show Us Your Stuff and Australian Top 50.
Our new group showcases Australian made scrapping products, and many small home businesses. So lets get behind this and support our Australian scrapbooking industry. All you have to do, is to us something that is an Australian product on your design.
So our first challenge is this:

This one is a nice simple challenge, just use sequins and stars.

I have used a lot of wonderful products from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, an Australian business owned by Zoe Pearn. She has some beautiful designs, that are very fresh and funky.

I have also used a Charms Creations heavenly heart, made by the ever talented Charmane Koch.

Scrap the Boys April challenge DT layout

So it's April, can we please rewind the last 3 months? Oh well, no holding back of time, so we must look forward to the new things, like the new challenge at Scrap the Boys.

What fun this challenge is, so many geometric shapes to choose from. I chose to use circles. I had this lovely patterned paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio that was my inspiration, the found as many circular elements that I could - cogs (perfect for the bike photo), bike chipboard, other circle wood veneers, die cuts, and stamping. Even the frame has circles on it (well spots actually, but spots are round). To top it off, the lovely O from Charms Creations.

Show Us Your Stuff January 2018 challenge

Happy new year 2018. This is my fourth year on the Show Us Your Stuff team, this year should be a lot of fun too. So our new challenge for January is this celebratory styled moodboard:

Now we all have some form of celebration in our lives, whether it be current, or past. 

Last year I took part in the Scrapbooking Memories (remember them) Masters competition. Sadly, the competition did not eventuate, and there were many of us who entered. We came away feeling very disappointed. This layout that I am sharing for this challenge, was actually created for the Masters competition. It was a celebration of my husband and mine 28th wedding anniversary, which we celebrated on holiday in Hawaii. I decided that this layout would be a perfect layout to share for the SUYS challenge, even though I didn't create it especially for it. 

I used papers, stickers and die cuts from Cocoa Vanilla Studio One of them I hand painted with watercolours, to tie in with the dress I was wearing. The handmade items on my layout, are flairs from D-lish Scraps, Cuts 2 luv and a Charms Creations heavenly heart. 

I hope you find inspiration to create a layout for this challenge.

I really do hope this year doesn't go as fast as 2016.

So this will be great for your summer holiday photos. My photo is from a summer a few years ago now. 

I love the Cocoa Vanilla products, and this one Hello Sunshine from a season ago, is still very appropriate to use. I added a Charms Creations arrow and a flair from Funky Flairs Studio.

Kraft + guest DT for Charms Creations

This month at Kraft+, the challenge is to be inspired by something in your wardrobe:

This month Charms Creations is sponsoring the challenge, so I am sharing my layout as a guest designer on behalf of Charms Creations. 

This is an awesome challenge, it opens up to so many possibilities. I had many thoughts going through my head about this, I thought about my leather boots, a lace shirt, denim jeans etc. I saw my striped dress in my wardrobe, and remembered I had this awesome photo of my great nephew Rome, 

who is wearing something similar. I knew I had some striped paper in my stash - too easy, lol. 

I have added a Charms Creations spotty denim arrow and heavenly heart to the layout.

 

  I have used patterned papers from the Cocoa Vanilla Love Always collection, which were perfect for my layout. 

I used a sketch I found on Pinterest to assist me with my design, this is a gorgeous sketch from Laura Whitaker. 

I love how my layout turned out, so I hope you find something inspiring in your wardrobe, and give this challenge a go.

Charms Creations Valentines Day challenge

This month at Charms Creations, we have a new valentines day challenge. The challenge is to use xo's or heavenly hearts.
For this challenge, I decided to go against the traditional red, that indicates love. I decided for my layout, I was going to use a photo of my sister, who of course I love lots, and to use blue xo's.
I chose to use some Cocoa Vanilla Designs products, and of course Charms Creations products work so well with this brand, as with so many other scrapping brands and products.

So I hope you have a go at this challenge.

More than Words February challenge

This month the challenge at More than words, is to use the word wonderful, as well as sparkle.

I found this a really nice challenge to do. I used a photo of friends daughters, who both have beautiful smiles and are gorgeous girls, so it was easy to scrap them. 

I used a Websters Pages patterned paper for the background, and then added some pretty Cocoa Vanilla paper - with the word wonderful in it. I used some gold foil journaling cards as a photo mat.  

I added Cocoa Vanilla stickers, again containing the word wonderful.

 I added this recently acquired Studio Fourteen40 gold foil flair which was perfect for the layout, along with some sequins. 

I also added some cute wood veneers that I found at Typo, to add a bit of extra glam to the layout.

D-lish Scraps DT share - Hmm, yum, dessert

Hi everyone, back again with the first of my shares for February.
This layout is my interpretation of one of the challenges from the January cybercrop, set by Amanda Hartmann, here is the challenge:

This is an awesome challenge, it really enables you to do whatever you want, as long as you follow the rule of 3's. 

I chose these photos of a friends daughter Abby, who at our Christmas get together, was really enjoying her food, especially her desert, lol. I managed to get a great timeline of photos of her eating. She is a bit of a character, with the best facial expressions. 

I used some of the lovely Cocoa Vanilla Studio papers and ephemera for this layout. I love that D-lish Scraps embellishments will work with anything you have in your stash. 

So the embellishments I chose to add to this layout include some bitty blooms, , sequin bow and flair button. 

Since I did this layout, Amanda has had a sale, and has a section in the shop, of clearance items. So some of the items that I have used on this layout, are found in this section. These include chiffon ribbon flowers, printed button bird, UITC wooden beads and sweetheart blooms (no longer available). So if you want a bargain, get to the clearance section.

Charms Creations Australia Day Challenge

So this month at Charms Creations, we are having 2 challenges for everyone to have a go at. Actually this one is a carry over from January. To use a map marker for Australia Day.
I created this layout, selfie photo of my husband and myself, on a day out in Melbourne City, for Australia Day. We had a lot of fun, roaming around, looking at all the festivities happening and visited the Shrine of Remembrance and the Botanical Gardens - tourists in our own city.
Charm has a selection of 2 map markers specially available for your Australia Day photos. I chose the blue and red one, I guess I still feel with our flag, that these are the colours that represent Australia.

I also used one of the new large cute clouds, along with some other wood veneer clouds from Cocoa Vanilla.

I love how this layout turned out, not just presenting our Australia, but also a nice sunny summer day out.

Show Us Your Stuff January challenge - DT share

Welcome to the new year, 2016 - sounds weird, just got used to 2015.
Anyway, it's time for a new challenge and our challenge at Show Us Your Stuff is to be inspired by this moodboard:

Now, if that doesn't make you feel summer, not sure what will, lol.

Anyway, for my layout, I have created this layout, a photo of my mother and I from summer 2014/15, when they were visiting us in Melbourne  - we went out for a treat on this particularly fine summers day, and ended up at the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie - yum - and had one of their icecreams. A nice way to cool off for the day. 

So for my layout, I have used some of the Cocoa Vanilla Studio Life Is Beautiful range - I fell in love with these products, so very easy to use.  

My handmade items on the layout are Charms Creations cute clouds and heavenly heart. 

I had a lot of fun with this layout, sure hope you can find some time over the summer to give this challenge a go.
